What is GovSnacks?

GovSnacks was originally created as a prototype for GovHack 2024, an international competition that challenges participants to turn government data into practical solutions.

GovSnacks was created to help Australians stay informed about the issues that matter most to them by breaking down the overwhelming volume of information published by Parliament into clear and accessible summaries

The project was recognised for its innovation and impact, winning:

🥇 National ‘Transform Bureaucratic Jargon Into Plain English’ prize sponsored by The Treasury.

🏅 Honourable mention for the National ‘Civic Participation for a More Resilient, Cohesive Democracy’ prize sponsored by the Department of Home Affairs.
